Terms
Last updated: 9 October 2026
1. About these terms
These terms apply when you use latch.finance, the waitlist at latch.finance/waitlist or the app at app.latch.finance. By using any of them you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use Latch. In these terms, Latch, we and us mean the operator of Latch, based in the United Kingdom. How we handle your data is set out in our privacy notice.
2. What Latch is, today
Latch is in early access. The waitlist reads the public trade history of wallets you give it and makes a card showing how much of your wins you kept. The app lets you set up commitments that take a share of a sale in profit and lock it until a date or condition you choose.
The app runs on a test network with test tokens that have no value. No real money moves through it today. When features that move real money arrive, they will come with updated terms, and we'll ask you to accept them before you use those features.
3. Who can use Latch
You must be at least 18, and allowed by the laws where you live to use a service like Latch. Some assets aren't offered in some countries: tokenized stocks aren't offered to US or UK persons. You're responsible for following the laws that apply to you.
4. Not advice
Latch doesn't give financial, investment, tax or legal advice, and nothing on Latch is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold anything. Card figures are estimates worked out from public blockchain data. They can be incomplete or wrong, for example when the price you paid for a token can't be found. Figures marked as examples are illustrations, not a promise of results.
5. Your wallet
- You control your wallet and you're responsible for keeping it secure. We never ask for your seed phrase or private keys. Anyone who does is not Latch.
- Signing to claim a waitlist spot is a free message. It moves nothing and gives us no access to your funds.
- In the app, you approve a weekly limit in your own wallet. Latch can take no more than that limit, and you can revoke it at any time from your wallet.
- Blockchain transactions are final. Neither we nor anyone else can reverse them.
6. The waitlist
- A place in line is not a promise of access, or of when access will come.
- Each wallet can be on one card only.
- Referrals move you up the line when someone claims a spot through your link, as long as both of you are outside the UK and their card shows at least $50 of trading wins and losses. UK rules on promoting cryptoassets don't allow referral rewards, so referrals from or to the UK don't count.
- We may remove entries, referrals or cards that look automated, fake or abusive, and adjust places in line to match.
- The handle on your card must not impersonate someone else or be offensive. We may remove cards that break this.
7. Acceptable use
When you use Latch, you agree not to:
- use bots or scripts to scan wallets, claim spots or refer people
- try to get around request limits or overload the service
- access any account, wallet or system without permission
- interfere with Latch or its security, or copy, resell or reverse engineer it
- use Latch to break the law or infringe anyone's rights
8. Your card and our brand
You keep the rights to what you enter, such as your handle. You let us show your card at its link and in the images made for sharing it. The Latch name, logo, designs and software belong to us.
9. Early access means things change
We may change, pause or end the waitlist or the app, and test-network data may be reset. We'll give reasonable notice of significant changes where we can. We aim to keep Latch available but can't promise uninterrupted access.
10. Our liability
Latch is provided as is and as available. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or losses caused by blockchain networks, wallets or other services we don't control. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by our negligence. Any consumer rights you have under the law where you live are not affected.
11. Ending
You can stop using Latch at any time. To have your card and data deleted, send a direct message to @latchfinance on X. We may suspend or remove access for anyone who breaks these terms.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, and we'll change the date at the top when we do. Changes don't apply to anything that happened before them. We'll tell you about significant changes before they take effect. If you keep using Latch after a change, you accept the updated terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you use Latch from another country, this doesn't remove any consumer protection you have there.
